KCnet Personal Web Space

As part of your KCnet service, you are entitled to 50MB of personal web space. To take advantage of your web space, you will first need to fill out the form below.  Then you will need to create a website or have one ready and FTP it to the KCnet server. This is a good way to "try out" a business web site, too. Personal web sites are the responsibility of the customer. (KCnet offers web creation services, editing or maintenance for your personal web space websites, at current rates. If you need information about this, please call 893-8111.)

After you have been notified that your account is created you will need to enter the following in your FTP program:

Host Name cub.kcnet.org
User ID Your KCnet user name (same as email omitting the @kcnet.org)
Password Your KCnet user password (same as email)

** If you do not have an ftp program you may download one here for free: Download Now

Connect to the FTP server, and you are now ready to upload your site by transferring the files from your local computer drive to the ftp folder. Note that your homepage file must be named index.html or index.php.

Your homepage address will then be http://www.kcnet.org/~UserID

(Note: you must insert the ~ before your user ID)

Please enter all information into the form so we can properly process it

Thank You,

Acceptable Use of KCnet Webspace**

**The use of KCnet Personal Webspace is a privilege, not a right, and inappropriate use can result in a cancellation of those privileges. The system administrators will deem what is inappropriate use of the network and take appropriate action. The system administrators may suspend or close an account at any time as required. They will give the user notice and the reason for suspension or termination of an account.  Suspension or termination could happen, for example, if you are sharing illegal content, posting explicit images, or have used foul or inappropriate language.  KCnet has the right to deny a request for an account without notice.
